I'd love to be your buddy!

Pietro is a sweet little Maltese/terrier mix who's about 8 years old and weighs only 9 pounds.  This poor guy was a stray that was brought into the shelter in horrible matted condition.  He was so badly flea ridden that he had severe skin irritation on his lower back. The shelter had to shave him down completely but his soft coat is already growing back.  He likely spent most of his time in the backyard and was never handled or given any love.  When we initially got him he would cower when pet and become rigid like a statue when picked up.  After a few weeks in a wonderful foster home with other dogs, he has blossomed into an affection-seeking happy boy who has learned from his dogmates to trust humans and is comfortable meeting strangers and is good with kids.  His confidence is building every day and it's incredibly rewarding to see him transition into the sweet affectionate dog he really is.  Pietro has been neutered, microchipped, has all shots and has had blood work and a dental.  He's in tip-top shape and ready to share his life with some lucky person.  If you're interested please fill out the adoption application on my website bichonsandbuddies.com.
