I'd love to be your buddy!

Kirby is a regal poodle who's about 5 years old and only weighs only 14 pounds :(  He's very underweight and was a giant matted mess when he ended up in the shelter.  Unfortunately they did a chop job on him and shaved him naked :(  His coat will be spectacular when it grows back.  Poor Kirby was a stray who was obviously not well cared for.  When animal reg caught him he was so freaked out he actually broke a tooth :(  When we got him out he was skittish for sure, but after some pets and cuddles he relaxed and looked at me with those big soulful eyes that spoke volumes about what he had endured.  After only a few days Kirby's affectionate, playful personality started coming out and he now has a favorite stuffed toy he likes to play fetch with.  He's a total cuddler and will wrap his long graceful legs around you and nuzzle into your neck.  Kirby is super smart and well-behaved and already has learned some commands.  He's good with other dogs but is still a little nervous walking on a leash outside if it's a loud congested area.  Kirby would love a home where someone was around alot.  He's a quite guy who just wants to be near you.
