Cockapoo / Wheaten Terrier / Mixed : : Female : : Young : : Small
Faith is a stunning 1 year old cockapoo/wheaten mix who's about 13 pounds. She comes from a country that makes our shelter system look like utopia. She's from Mexico. Her owner who lived in a nearly uninhabitable apartment building died, and the neighbors thought it was perfectly fine to tie this person's dog to the side of the building and leave her. No food. No water. No shelter. Like a discarded piece of furniture. Fortunately for Faith her plight was brought to the attention of the well-known rescue angel, Ana, who lives in Mexico and has saved countless dogs over the years. Ana knows there's no chance for a quality life for them there, so she works with state-side rescues to take the dogs she saves. Faith is one of those lucky dogs. The most amazing thing I can say about all the dogs I've ever taken from Mexico is they miraculously have all been some of the sweetest most gentle dogs I've ever come across. Faith is no exception. She has an amazingly calm, sweet temperament and is super affectionate. She's incredibly well socialized, loves everyone she meets, and has no fear whatsoever or indication of the ordeal she endured. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves to play. She's a gentle girl that would be perfect with kids. Faith is quite a remarkable girl with a remarkable story.
